Oh, these are gorgeous! So many layers of feathers, just like real wings! And they're wearable? That's so awesome! 
You took sheets of 100% wool and cut each out layers of feathers and then needle felted them together? Very neat!
Have you found any stiff felt, by the way? I've been working on the new ref for Noobalee and it's coming along. I haven't forgotten it's just taking a little longer than I expected. But soon! Soon!

Oh, I don't know if they're 100% wool. They're just made of the 30 cent felt sheets you can find at just about any craft store...
Well, one internet store has stiff felt, but since the color selection is slim there it's looking like I'm just going to have to buckle down and stiffen my felt on my own. There's a store near me that sells the stiffening agent, so once I have the time I'll buy that and start fiddling with that.
