It's more than just the fact Link can talk in the games, they add SO much character development and tragedy into the story. Did you read the chapter about Volgavia? That made me cry man!

Yes, it is... but it also shows a side to Zelda nobody looks at. Link often had a life BEFORE the main quests and dungeons when everything gets a little more serious, and had to make some very hard and emotional choices on his adventure that might have something to do with that life before the second and hardest half of his quest.

I like how the official manga reflects that. In classic RPGs like Zelda, we never really got to see that. There's only a few that draw to like, like Skyward Sword, Twilight Princess, or Wind Waker. Other than that, we don't really know how his life was, how people think of him, or anything like that. It's always awesome when it does. It's great.

Yeah, kinda makes you wonder why they don't do that in the first place? I mean, for sequels like Phantom Hourglass it makes sense, it's just a direct sequel to Wind Waker, but the other games don't really have an excuse...
