Excellent! I think this film probably helped get em addicted to the 18th Century! LOL
I wondered how accurate that ball gown is. I found an article Once upon a time, where it mentioned that the film takes place in the 1760's. Would this dress (or the film's) have been accurate? I don't think the film was, but that doesn't stop me from liking it nonetheless. haha

Well, there's an alternate opening where it's given a more concrete 18th century setting-- you can see it here. [link] It's hard to tell exactly what decade it's supposed to be, but it seems mostly late 1770s to the early 1780s, judging by the gowns and hairstyles.

They got away from that in the final movie, and Belle's dress looks mostly 1850s-ish. But I figured it would be truest to her character to keep to the original concept and keep her late 18th century.
Yeah I would agree with the 1850's, maybe late 1830's especially if you take into account the style of the Library dress, which to me, suggests late 1820's or 1830s
It is now official I MUST find the Diamond Edition of BatB! LOL
