Aaah, the world of SWA... once you taste 10mm you can never go back. I used to own a Sigma 10-20 that I loved. Then someone sold me a Nikon 12-24 for a price I could not refuse. After a few weeks I convinced myself that the Nikon is great and sold the Sigma. A month later I had sold the Nikon and bought another Sigma. Thank god everything was used and at good prices, otherwise I would have wasted a bundle.

There is a wee bit of a problem with waterfalls and 10mm though. Stacking a polarizer and ND is no longer an option, unless you use one of those slim polarizers (whose cap falls off when you even think about it) or are willing to live with a bit of vigentting and clone/crop it out after the fact.

ah yes..the addiction of the 10mm has already taken over! has barely left my camera body since i got it.
was actually looking at the sony 11-18 at the same time as the sigma..have been wondering if i should have gone that route but your tale has made me think i made the right choice and also saved a few dollars :) thanks for sharing.

did get a get a CPL with the lens but am still waiting for the ND to arrive so hopefully it wont be too much to deal with the vignetting issues. and also hope 77mm lens caps come cheap. appreciate the heads up.
