I used to watch TMNT catoons with one of the neighbour kids who babysat me. He also taught me how to play the oldschool Super Mario games (I'm still horrible at it). I loved that stuff until social pressure forced me to believe I was only supposed to like girly things. What a terrible few years of my life that was.

I remember only a handful of my toys as a kid. I know we had piles of stuffed animals, and people gave me Barbies all the time that I never played with (those things freaked me the hell out ... "Uncanny Valley" only half describes it). But of toys I actually really loved and personified, there weren't many. Most of them were my brother's ... some hotwheels and action figures and lots of those floppy plastic lizards. I had a distinct lack of cool toys of my own. It's really hard to have epic adventures with Baby-Pees-A-Lot and that freaky cat-doll that had baby kittens you had to rip out of her velcro stomach.

I think the most prosperous toy-time of my life is right now with my handful of awesome little dudes here. We're very happy together :XD:

hehe I have to admit I had a lot of My Little Ponies. I haven't gotten back into the new style, but I'm slow that way.

And Carebears. Carebears riding dinosaurs. I also had a ton of stuffed animals and still do in a box somewhere in storage. The Barbies were given away to cousins. I had more fun with the furniture than the dolls I think. I remember barbie's red corvette being the ultimate war machine and rescue vehicle for all our toys. since I had a little brother 5 years younger than me, we would mix up all our toys. GI Joes would ride My Little Ponies or some other model horse with rainbow and pink hair. I didn't have any of those birthing pets but I did have some pound puppies. wonder whatever happened to those...
