Thanks. :)

LOL, and no, it's not for sale, you're second one to ask that. ;) I'm selfishly doing this for myself. I've had the refrence pic for so long and I've kept thinking about drawing it for some years and never thought I could even try. Now I'm hoping it'll turn out to be something I can put on my own wall.

It's great to see just how much you are progressing with this piece. I saw "Døle Horse - WIP III" this afternoon while checking on my watch list and the difference between this one and WIP III is enormous. :omg:

As for the background, I think it looks good without any, really. The drawing is so realistic that, without a background, it would look as though it's coming out of the paper.

that looks very like a highland pony i see at horse shows round here...the markings are almost exactly the same. its looking great!

"Leave them a flower, some grass and a hedgerow
A hill and a valley, a view to the sea
These things are not yours to destroy as you want to
A gift given once for eternity"
I think this looks very lovely. It's sort of a bittersweet picture for me to look at since it reminds me of my horse, which is nice, but as I no longer have her, it reminds me of my horse. -_-

BUT! It's amazingly good, and I really think that just some grass would be fine, because the mane does look very lovely, and since the horse is such a light color, a background I think would detract from the focal point of the image (aka Horse).

Beautiful, just beautiful. I love the way you do horses--you have such a talent to capture movement, expression and environment. Well done!

I told ya it's gorgeus! must fave when it's finished. hm I think a background isn't necessary, it's looking great anyway. btw. is it for sale? :D

Holy crap, this is coming along so great! I don´t think you should do any more background for this, it looks good as it is. Great work

Thank you do much for the comment. :)

People here seem to agree with me about keeping it without background. I'm not so fond of drawing backgrounds anyway. :P
