I'm sure there are some rebels and freedom fighters that might have tried to change things with more peaceful ways. It's just that these types are what we see the most of since it's what the Spartans and soldiers have to deal with.
More peaceful =
- Gather a Bunch of People as big as possible xD
- Steal "as much Stuff" as possible xD
- Drive of into a different Solar-System with a Planet where you are able to live upon xD
- Create your own, free Society there with as much capable People as possible xD
