I was originally worried that there was so little of him in this part, but I thought, "You know... the companions need their own alone time, in every episode. This is not a problem." But even so, it's a great relief to hear that it's appreciated.

No worries! And indeed, it's all about striking a balance. Just as the real Doctor's companions drastically change the flavor of all his adventures, so too should everypony get their face time here. In my opinion, at least.
