Awesome reference, I have the same picture in my "must draw"-folder
(but I probably won't draw it because of the many arms in the background... I'm too lazy for that
). Uhm, tips... I think it would be great if you did it on black paper (if you hadn't already thought of that
). Always keep your pencils sharp (trivial, I know, but it took me so long to realize the importance of sharp pencils), use a sheet of paper under your drawing hand, take your time with drawing details (it really pays off), and don't give up right away if you don't like how it turns out. What else...? Ah, I used acrylic paint for highlights, I think that looks awesome on black paper and it gives the drawing something special, because the colours are much more intense / concentrated than with coloured pencils - you could try that, like in the hair and the shirt.
