I really like this concept! The only things I would change is putting Toy Story more towards California as the setting seems to have a lot of those influences, and I think Bambi was a story that originated in Central Europe rather than the middle US.
Yes, but the species of deer that Bambi was in the book was changed to a North American species for the primarily US audience.
