You know what. I could have SWORN I had left something on this, but now I see I haven't and it might have been because I did write something but couldn't submit it because I was on a browser that for some reason took away the submit comment button.
Now If I remember my initial complements and critique...
The silence is beautiful...not really beautiful in the sense Amy Pond is beautiful but the way it was done. I like how you use negative space for the rocket, again the silhouette motif at the bottom, figure at the top. The only small suggestion is that the main vein of lightning is too thick and could be thinned to create a better looking, more sleek lightning strike?
I think the red works well, reminds me of allies from mars type deal. I'd say this was a very good follow up to impossible Astronaut

The lightning was something me and my friend debated over for a long time. Ultimately I needed something that mirrored the Impossible Astronaut poster well. I had The Silence face matching the Astronaut, so I needed that white streak diagonally across the top page. The lightning seemed to fit well, although the execution could have been a little better
I really enjoyed creating The Silence. Was my first go really getting to grips with Illustrator and it was great fun.

I like the idea behind the reflection, and the lighting works, I agree it was probably the execution of it that keeps the lightning a little less neat than it could be.
