The fact that it's an ancient text kinda makes it rather unreliable. I don't know if you've noticed, but the age of Catholicism was a period of rather large decline in the rate of scientific discoveries.
I really hope you ignore the Exodus and most of the Old Testament, there is really some messed up stuff in there.
Clearly laughing at some of the stuff humanity thinks up is a bit more fun than sitting in church on Sundays having a 'rave party'.
lol this argument is hilarious

Eh I'm going to pray for you and my church is not in the 17th century it's in the 21st

That's thoughtful, but it would be pointless to pray for me when it won't really do anything.
the 17th century was only a few hundred years ago. I think you should do some research on your own religion.According to your religion, the New Testament describes Jesus's life, which apparently happened around 2000 years ago, the start of the calendar. The New Testament ended way before the 17th century and by then they had ditched most of the gruesome and inhumane practices. Whether you believe in the 17th century God or the 21st century God doesn't really make a difference. The Bible is still the same book whether you read it in the 17th century or now. Some rather disturbing notions it contains, too.

17th century churches are exactly the same as today's churches.
If you want to do something for me simply because I'm a nice person, do something actually useful, praying kinda does nothing. That is the point I am trying to get across here. Clearly you aren't listening.
