Dean, I saw your pics and your gallery, so...here its my main advice: keep practice in human anatomy!! 
Just draw people from photos, or called your friends artist's models..Anatomy is EXTREMELY important thing! 
Actually I not strong in anatomy too, but I may draw faces well..Anatomy and understanding of human body==>key for the pro-level artist
