reminds me of the good ol days of the classic superhero stories i enjoyed reading the most...

I think you draw the best gambit since jim lee and the lee weeks mini series. like the cold ice effect on iceman too.

You need to check out Steve Skroce's rendition of Gambit.

I like steves art, and hes a great storyteller, but his gambit doesnt resonate with me....

Really? His angles broke more ground than 90% of all the other artist's I've seen drawing for marvel.

Angles or gambit? As i said hes a great artist. Hes inspired me to storyboard after seeing his work on the Matrix. So yes he has great angles, and storytelling, though i believe we were speaking about gambit lol :).

Hey man, it looked like his work was set free when he drew gambit. The only thing better than him charging a deck of cards on Gladiator was when he spit that gum in x-cutioner's face.

That's the vibe I was going for, that's what I got into comics for, but there doesn't seem to be much of that good old, classic, superhero action feel around these days... to me anyway. Lots of writer focussed, talking head stories stretched thin over 6 issue arcs.

BTW Dude I ALWAYS channel that Lee/Portacio/Williams Uncanny 267 rendition while drawing Gambit.

i agree. some talking head stories are good, but when they are dragged out, and not enough superhero action things get boring. i think thats what is missing. If im to gripe some more, i also dont like how all the titles get renamed every six months. i have no clue whats happening in the marvel universe anymore lol.

it works well man.

Yeah there are some good stories... but nothing is exciting me right now. The renaming/renumbering is a real problem. I understand the short term goals of it, but it's confusing as hell.
