So true. Just because it's a fantasy world doesn't mean it's gotta be 100% illogical. I mean, come on.

The problem is the outfit sticks out like a sore thumb. If someone saw a person in that outfit they would remember; they would likely be able to act as a witness.

Thieves are about stealth and remaining unseen, or making a quick getaway if needs be. This outfit has so many bits that could get caught on something- such as the weird cufflinks and the smaller undone belts, that it would be more a hazard than anything else. The fact that the main colours on the front of it are red and sliver (from the armoured bits) wouldn't be good for sneaking about.

Hush ya'll! A well trained thief would be capable of performing to their best regardless of their apparel. And this chick clearly would know how to maneuver with ease in that outfit. After all, in cases of combat the metal padding can be used for knees and kicks to dicks. Okay, not necessarily dicks but you get the picture. Protecting vital areas needn't be the sole purpose for wearing the armor in the way that it is positioned. The armor is well formed around the joints and does not restrict movement in any visible way. In my opinion you guys should just get over the fact that you guys can't create nasty shit like this! This shit makes sense. Especially when you take into account the mysterious ways in which women's minds work!

'A thief is capable of performing to their best regardless of apparel'.

Yes and no. Clothes are a factor in any job that requires flexibility you need to be able to move freely. Look at an acrobat, the outfit will be form-fitting and fancy; however there will very little that gets in the way. Also why would a thief , or anyone for that matter, wants armour  solely to kick people in the dick. The job of a thief is to be stealthy and not get caught. Kicks to the gonads do not mix well with that.

The fact that she is using merely bits and pieces is weird, it s like she picked random scraps of an armour set. Women's minds would think that's weird, just trust me on this one.

Most if my issue comes from the fact that the outfit makes no logical sense. Why would someone just pick upraised random pieces of armour, rather than a full set?
Why not just go with a light set of armour- such as leather, than mix and match?

Yes the set looks good, but it's all style and no substance. Call me boring, but I like armour that works well in the situations the character will be in. I like vitals being protecting or a reasonable explanation as to why they are not.

Applying your logic would mean she has no use for her two daggers either in that case. Also the padding/armor doesn't necessarily need to be used for kicks to willies. Kicks to the legs and precise kicks to the rib-cage and/or arms would be enough to shatter it with that plating.

I'm not too sure where you got the idea from that the armor doesn't provide enough mobility - if anything it provides plenty. The armor placements being odd would be no surprise if it was used for combat. If she wouldn't use a part such as her left knee for close quarters, there would be no use in having plating in the area when she can dodge. This outfit provides a very light build with plating only in places that will be directly exposed during her attacks. The rest of her body remains un-plated in order to provide the maximum maneuverability required to both go on offence (kicks, jabs and stabs) and defense (dodges and parries). e.g. She is caught and attacked by a sword wielder. She is capable of dodging his attacks with ease thanks to minimum plating. When she kicks or knees there is no chance that the enemy would block the attack with his blade and slice off her leg in the process. She has the capability to attack with both arms and legs without any excess weight to slow her. What I'm trying to say is that the plating could serve more as an offence than a defense since she could dodge any attacks with that little armor. The "missing" parts aren't missing, they were just never of any use. As for the shoulder, usually that would be placed on the forward shoulder as seen here to block any passing swings to the neck and arm.

Some dangling parts and tassels weren't needed but when you can make an outfit like that then why the hell not go for it! It doesn't exactly make much of a difference.

If we were to discuss the color, the use of heels, the little dangling trinkets and the dagger's design, then I might agree with you but we are talking fantasy and that much I can let through for appeal.

Today's moral of this story - Think outside the box

We're going to have to disagree on this. All that is a lot of effort for a class that has a main goal of dodging and sneaking, and stealing. Yea it could be used for what you've described; it's just very convoluted when the design is meant for cheesecake. Just to point out, I have no problem with that. Even if I did, I will not touch that argument.

It is completely possible to have cheesecake AND have useable outfits. Again all you'd have to do is use something similar  to an acrobat's or runner's outfit, with some changes. The fact is that I have seen enough outfits like the one in the picture before; MMOs do it all the time. It's not thinking outside the box, it' s pandering; I have no problem with that but call a cigar a cigar.

I have seen many unique outfits that have coverage, look at series such as Dark Souls and The Elder Scrolls. The armour is the same of men and women, bar some details. And heck if you want cheesecake go for it, just try to be less obivious about it or admit it.

There's no lesson here, we just have different views.

Agree to disagree but what's cheesecake other than the desert?

In this context it means the display of the female form with very little clothing, often used as teasing.
