Stalkers: Still talking about your mom spoilers!

Yeah, what was that? They started the action, they capped the climax, and otherwise... were like sailing around in the distance the whole time. Solving the dilemma of the fountain by having random guys show up and nonchalantly decimate a priceless wonder for religious reasons was a little weak. Not that that sort of thing didn't happen all the time IRL it's just... you'd think one of the Spaniards would've thought, whoa amigos, we just went through a fricken pool of water on the ceiling, maybe this IS a magic/holy place. Oh well, they functioned to save Barbossa from getting run-through at the last moment so I forgive them.

Yeah, we figured there was going to be something after the credits like there usually is but my dad was with us and wasn't sending vibes he wanted to stick around and wait for it. I need to youtube it and see if there actually was anything, I'd wager it's the mermaid-sideplot ending. And if not, well LOL, so much for wrapping up /anything/ at all. XD

I... am mostly happy Jack marooned her at the end. If there was a big steamy finale kiss like WillxLiz then I would have barfed; Jack seems too selfish to me to actually tie himself to another person, it would have been way out of character. I loved him shooing off her annoying flirting on that island. I am evil.

God, two things they could have cut out COMPLETELY and it would have been better: The 'zombies'? Just make them big scary stupid dudes like we've been seeing under captains all along, that's basically all they were. And that rope sword... WAAAAAAHT WAS THAT?? Blackbeard was the scariest pirate ever not because he was cunning/ruthless/insane genius but because he could twirl fingers around a hilt and control ship parts? Totally unnecessary, weird, and never explained. And now Barbossa's got it and... what? Is he planning to retire anytime soon? I mean, barring the kracken, you basically win once you can make ships kill their occupants with your psychic sword thing. Bit of a snore, innit?

I agree, I think it was quite much to see a ton of soldiers popping up in the little cave area. Then destroy it? Why would they risk their lives for DAYS, if not weeks, just to destroy it?

I heard the ending was odd, it was just Jacks girlfriend on the beach looking at his voodoo doll then smiling. So, if she can not die now, can she starve? Will she just look young? What are the rules! Poorly explained.

I agree, he is just not that kind of character. Though I LOL'd when he said "Oh, I gotta go" so priceless xD The look on her face!
But the very ending where he gets the Pearl in a bottle back and just kind of walks away with Mr. Gibbs was wayyyy to weak. I mean, just walking away? Was her serious when he needed a man with a goat? Why and how did Blackbeard even keep ships in a bottle!
Then with Barbosa on the Queen Ann’s Revenge sailing to Tortuga? (sp) I mean really, it was too watery ;.; That’s it?

Yeah, I mean, no joke, had they never had said the word "zombies" I would NEVER had known. I think they just wanted a larger audience? I personally was expecting a lot more with that, even though I was slightly afraid xD But then I saw them and was all......umm ok?
Blackbeard’s sword, and just the whole magic thing was too far. Made no sense, and not once in really any of the movies, explained how an why they had magic. Tia dalma (sp), whatever cause she was Calypso, but everyone else is normal. So... anyone can control the sword? That is kind of cheap and un-needed. I thought Blackbeard was WAY too soft. I mean ok, he burned a guy to death, but that’s pretty much it. Barbossa was more ruthless, stabbing him with a poison sword. I was expecting more. >.<

I'm with you on that. The Spaniards could have been used more, maybe a scene with their leader talking with Barbossa and Jack about the FoY and telling them how foolish they are for seeking it or something. I was half expecting such a conversation to take place.

There is an after credit scene. I can tell you if you like?

Zombies definitely could have been left out. They certainly did not feel like zombies too me. They just felt like big guys with tattoo scarrings.

As for Blackbeard, I kinda know more about the Sword then the movie let on so I'm not entirely disappointed with him. I was also expecting an explanation for the sword though. Like Jack asking Angelica where Blackbeard got it or something. I would have also liked a flashback to the Pearl being taken to see exactly how Blackbeard managed to get her in a bottle. Heh Pearl in a Bottle.

The impression I got about the sword, though, is that he acquired it after his "death" off of North Carolina.

And you already know my opinion about Barbossa with the sword.

Barbossa: Woot! New toy!
