Awesome! I went a few weeks ago, it was gorgeous, snow on the mountains still, but not a cloud in the sky, still gorgeous, working on a few images now 
That's too bad about the clouds or rather no clouds but you never know in the Sierra. Storms develop so quick and break in minutes, you truly have to be lucky or camp out there for days. I'll be back soon to see the Sierra with a sprinkling of fresh snow and hopefully equally stunning light. I think I fell in love with the area.
