Oh I find it difficult as well. Usually I find premade ones and modify the codes. I might change things like fonts or colours, but other than that, not much. Just find a meter that does what you need it to do, then modify the code and/or images to make it look the way you want.

But once you've done all that and have the finished product, it is VERY satisfying.
