Wow, the detail on this is awesome. I also love the colors. I don't really like how the focus is so unfocused on the bottom and top, it's kind of annoying.

About the out of focus zones, it's simply because at lifesize macro, depth of field is extremely small. This was at F/8.0 and it looks like that.
