I think that adding layers, masks and textures is simply a form of digital collage. I love to play with these.
I have to agree but I haven't yet figured out a good way to "cut out" the pieces I want and put them together without being able to tell. I've tried masking and I've tried making selections but I'm not quite getting it. That's ok, I've got another couple of months before my time isn't my own again.
I'm not that experienced either .. picked up the rudimentary elements of Photoshop in a digital photography class that I took at a local college. Learned enough to play, but I can't really piece stuff together either.

lol! I haven't signed up for any course yet! I got some books at the library book sale and I've been relying on the friendly souls here and at RedBubble to help me along. It's kind of hard to ask how to do something when you don't know what to call it or most of the vocabulary in the reply but trying some of it has been fun anyway.
