do you doodle first with a pencil or do you just draw with the pen?
I always plan out at least the poem itself with a pencil. In this one, once I had the poem outlined, I kind of went to town with my pens, planning in my head, only. However, my other piece, Pace, took a LOT more planning and sketching because I wanted the hands to look realistic.
So, it pretty much depends on what I'm drawing.

I wouldn't discount your abilities, found poetry is actually a LOT easier than it looks!
