So, wait, people are ALLOWED to link to other people's pages and sick their fanbrats on whoever, just because you have in place a system to block some users and hide comments?

Oh yeah, THAT'S a good idea, how wonderful of you to change that for "the better"

Let me tell you, I've been on the receiving end of one of those call-outs, and it's all fair enough to say that "oh, discuss it amongst yourself", but SOME people don't listen to reason, and some people have quite a lot of popularity on here, and hence, have quite a lot of fans who're willing to do their dirty work for them.

Some of the updates here I can understand, some of the leniency I can tolerate and even appreciate, and I am thrilled to hear that you're focusing on fixing up dA as it is now rather than releasing a shiny newer version but the fact that you're now basically allowing witch hunts to occure within policy is appauling, and I have NO idea why you thought to change it that way.

dA seems to love drama, 'ey?

Doll-maker images and screenshots, they're another thing I'm pretty against. It seems as if you're allowing them now, just because you cannot be arsed, or to put it more fairly "don't have time" to delete them all.

Well, if things get well out of line we did not state we won't look into it. Plain and simple artists argue and to tell them otherwise is a pointless endeavor. This goes on non stop and with 4.7 million people on here it is ultimately pointless to try and stop it unless it gets to the point of needing someone to step in.

As for dolls and screenshots, the categories for those are a scrap level category.

What happens if a doll base artist does not want their work stolen by thousands of users here?

Then they let us know and we deal with it :)

Alright then. If I find it. Since I do know of some doll base artists that do not wish their work used by others.

can i ask for a bit of clarification?

i see your point on the names in journals thing, although i dont neccesarily agree, but if a deviant suffers severely at the hands of flamers sent from another deviants page, will the flamers and the offending deviant be dealt with? i'm not talking about the usual 'OMG U SUK!' flames, they can be hidden and blocked, but the more aggressive types (for example, 'your mother should have aborted you' is a particularly nice one i have seen) cant just be left to leave those types of comments on pages.

i cant say i agree with the decision but i do understand it. but i just hope that you arent opening dA up to a LOT of children screaming at each other with no intervention. i agree that artists are a hot-blooded bunch but the majority of the drama-llamas on here are barely artists anyway in my opinion, and having the 'today' page filled with pages and pages of 14 year olds screaming at each other does not fill me with joy, however much i love an internet argument =P

They shouldn't even be scrap level, Lolly. They're not art. They're not sketches, they're not WIPs, and the people who upload them haven't actually done anything creative, so WHY on earth should they be allowed on ANY part of an site for art and creativity?

Artists argue, no disputing that, and many arguments can be sorted out amongst themselves in comments.
But pointing someone out in a negative manner in your journal ISN'T having an argument, that's starting a flame war, and getting other people to join into the drama.

Absoloutely no good comes from allowing it.
