Screenshots? Dolls from generators that other people made?

Stealing.

Allowing people to sic their friends/fans on someone they don't like?

Harrassment.

I'm just saying, this is only going to cause more harm than good.

Dolls from generators, the generators are made to encourage doll making.

Screenshots from games, the game companies enable keyboard shortcuts for in game shots and movie capture in some cases and encourage people to share them.

Allowing artists to freely speak their mind and say what they feel about artists is called what happens in the real world art scene.

I don't think those things are meant to encourage doll making at all. They're more encouraging the lazy way out of it, something fun you can do rather quickly in most cases. Those types of dolls belong more on a myspace page or a badly coloured personal website.

but a lot of this site ISNT a real world art scene, its a bunch of under-aged children who have no idea how to tolerate opposing opinions and take things WAY to seriously. giving them free reign over what and who they can bitch about may cause a LOT of excess drama on here, which we simply do not need.

just my 2 cents :)

Not to doubt you, but I'm curious if you have any sort of documentation or links where these game companies encourage sharing screenshots? Also your above comment is a bit misleading, as the game companies aren't always the ones to "enable keyboard shortcuts for in game shots and movie capture"...generally people who capture those images use that handy Print Screen button on the keyboard. Unless you're claiming that game companies sell that special key to install onto keyboards. And for video captures, most people use capture software independent of those games.

How many MMO's have you played? Or other online games? Go check the directory or the keyboard settings and you will find that it is most likely there and a folder for them to handily go into :)

The number of MMO's and online games I've played is over 9,000. However even though those tools are made available for screenshots and such inside the games, you're taking a big step with the statement that those video game companies offer such tools for those images to be posted on art websites. I asked for some documentation or links to back up your statement about those companies. If you cannot provide them, then I cannot be persuaded.
