Any word on how your charity donation did? It looks amazing. I've not tried granny square anything because I'm afraid that my stitching them together will ruin the item. Yours looks seamless.
Desert Bus hasn't run yet this year. It starts November 18th so I should find out within about a week of that. I'll update the entry to reflect that information when I do find out though.
I used what is called a whip stitch to seam them together. You could try doing just a couple sample granny squares and seaming them together to experiment. It doesn't take a lot of time and then you'll have an idea. ^^
