yes, its hard to photograph rodents but fun also.. lol.. they are very fast, especially rats.. hamsters are a bit easier but not much lol
my old rats, Taz, Raisin, and Desperaux were very easy to get photos of. Set Taz down and he would just stare at you. Raisin was similar, but Desperaux would move a bit more. My new rats, Rory, Emit, and Fuzz, end up flashes of color streaking across the photo. lol XD

lol.. i think thats why our female rats are hard to photograph, not had them long,, our big boys are a fair bit slower.. will get some pics of them up soon 
yeah, boys are calmer. Female rats, and almost any animal are a bit more jumpy and not as good pets, i think personally. But i still loved Desperaux! lol XD i only got a female that once because they were rescues. They were abused by this person we knew, she hit them and threw them against walls when she got mad. she killed two. 
lucky we saved them. (its not stealing when we are saving lol) and they lived longer happier lives.
She was a good friend, now we hate her. >
