Thank you very much! I love making people think, haha. I think being able to justify our actions and such definitely plays a key role.

Now, If I were in philosophy, the next question I'd ask would be, if aliens landed tomorrow that behaved exactly as we do, but didn't look as we do, would we consider them persons/humans/etc? hahah. I love philosophy.

personally i would.
however i get the feeling that many would disagree with me.
i think that being human isn't about what we look like. we all look different.
someone who is missing an arm is still human,
how is that any different to say, having three eyes and being green?
if they can reason and think in a logical rational way, then they are to that degree human.
however, i also think that there is more than one trait that makes us human.
(and you mentioned them in your poem)

I agree (: The beautiful thing about humanity is the variety. We're all different. I think in a lot of ways we have the same motivations, desires, pains, etc, but what we do with those motivations, desires, pains is different to every one of us.

this is making me wish i'd done religion and philosophy this year.
however, my arguments are all well and good in writing, but having to make them
vocal in front of a class, i'd clam up.

It can be hard. I'm fortunate enough to have a great class. And, I'm a pretty vocal person as is. What helps is having that one person you can look at and just tell them, haha. And, if the atmosphere is great, being able to discuss things will come easily. (:

most of the people in my school are people i want to call mean names.
i have my friends, and we're not exactly the most popular of kids.

i do, however, LOVE my english class.
best group of people ever. <3
