Ah, the stuff one comes up with when one is given time to ponder, right?

Speaking of the great change, what is up with the reboot? I haven't heard too much information about it other than a lot of people are upset by it and that it is apparently going to change almost everything.

I haven't been following the news too closely, since almost everything I hear and see just winds up depressing me (out of my four favorite people in the DCU, two have been officially put "in limbo" and allegedly stripped of their character legacies, one is in a questionable series that seems like it's mangling all of the characters it's co-opting, and one is nowhere to be found and has possibly been re-replaced by his predecessor :noes:), but ALLEGEDLY they're trying to "make things accessible to new readers" by rewriting their entire history up to that point, yup, THAT won't confuse matters...the main thing is that they claim to be "turning back the clock", taking on characters at earlier points in their lives than they're in at present, although apparently certain books are still taking place in the pre-reboot universe...and stuff.

So after years of trying to rewrite everything that was created in the 90's, now it seems like they're trying to wipe all that out entirely. Which is a shame, since the early/mid-90's-to-early-2000's is one of my favorite periods in DCU history. :(

NOW I UNDERSTAND.

I know, right? :noes:

But at least we've got Gail Simone on Barbara Gordon Batgirl. I get the feeling that that'll be pure awesome enough to make up for at least 60% of any of the potential suck-age in this reboot.

VERY TRUE. Very true.
It will be awesome to see that come to light.
