oooooooooooo i love how u drew her!!!!! i have mixed feeling for her too, sometimes i cant stand her, but then again i have to admit she is pretty cool.....
AaAaHHH! KIKYOU!! I'm always kinda torn about Kikyou. I love her character and I really love reading her storyline.... but yes, she's so very... "Only I can do this!!"-minded.
That and she insulted the boy's sword. XD That's never good. Heehehe.
Amazing picture! I'm lovin' the way her hakama pool around her feet. Really elegant.

i for one have been a fan of kikyou . . . not in the sense that i like her (because she's creepy . . . and dead . . . and does dumb things like giving naraku the shikon jewel . . . and the stone bowl of budda to kagura) but just because i'm drawn to the tragicness of her character. And the whole Midoriko does have a wicked cool thing to it . . . too bad we're all up and about Mouryoumaru and Ginka and Kinka to get back to the cool part of the story. Freaking eh!
Oh right, what I meant to say was that this piece is absolutely stunning and I will fave it as soon as I finish typing this . . . and not because it is Kikyou but because (as always) your work is breathtaking. As far as the background goes, I'm not sure you need any more than what you have here.

Across the globe, 27 million men, women, and children live in some form of slavery. That is more people at this moment than in all the centuries of the Atlantic Slave Trade. Something must be done. This contest serves two purposes: Raising awareness about human trafficking and raising funds for the Not For Sale organization.
Open to all mediums. Deadline is March 10, 2010 @ 11:59pm PST.
