Comment on Apophysis F.A.Q. by Apophysis
I am having trouble getting plugins to work in 7xC. They used to work on my old PC(Vista in the past. New PC has Windows 7. 64-bit) and now I am not sure why. I copied the plugins that I wanted(only about 5 plugins, so far, aside from the default ones). I copied them after extracting from the ZIP and put them into my 'Plugins' folder in the main Apophysis folder but they do not appear with the rest in the Editor window, when I open the program. I even searched them manually in the text search box above the Variations/Triangle tabs to no avail.
Does it make a difference where I unzip Apophsis7xC at? I don't think it does, but, I have tried creating a New Folder(and renaming it Apophysis) on my Desktop as well as in my C: and in C: Program Files folder. I make the New Folder first because it's a lot of files to copy/paste if I just unzip straight onto the desktop or C:, or C: Pogram Files folder.

I have tried multiple plugin packs, as well. I would love it if someone could help me! I even bought a brand new computer just so I could come back and make more fractals and render them more efficiently. 
I've spent about 5 hours so far trying to fix this or find a specific answer that will help me get the Plugins to show up and function in the Editor window.

I've been having the same problem trying to install plugins 
i feel it might be because they're outdated..? but i don;t think that should make much difference
