Avant Garde/Doom, those music are great when the musician are very inspired. Still, many are not, and I agree to say that it can be boring, but Black Metal or more especially brutal death metal can be boring too, there are too many bad bands thinking they are playing music and wasting their time because they play this flimsy music, heard a thousand times.

I like Arcturus from Avantgrade genre.That's true,so maybe it's not always depending on the kind of music,but on the band(or even their songs).
I was in the music school for 3-4 years,I studied guitar & classic vocals and I was in the choir
I finished it as soon as I finished school.
Else,my dad is a musician and he taught me to play the piano when I was in primary school.

Indeed, Arcturus is a good example of interesting band. Devin Townsend is a great Avant Garde musician too. Nevertheless he did bad music too.

To be honest,when I was still in the music school,I was more active.I had to study for & attend the classes and to participate in the concerts.
Now I only play in my free time.I would be interested in starting a project,but I need to find the time.There's sth on my mind now and I maybe do it finally.
So many ideas,so little free time :/

Free time is always the problem. If you start any project, let me know! I wish you to be able to do something, it's always great when it happens.
