As long as you can point your camera at it, zoom in far enough and make sure it's in focus, it's pretty hard NOT to get a good shot of the Opera House IMHO

I'm heading to Sydney this weekend... we shall see 
Remember the simple rules:
1) Fill the frame (or remember the rule of thirds)
2) Use a tripod
3) If you're shooting at night, go for long exposures
4) If your camera has a self-timer, use it, to reduce camera shake
Do that and you should do OK. That's about all I do (apart from relying on gut instinct - when it feels right, I take the shot)

It's an amazingly photographic building isn't it. But I've seen dodgy versions. Yours is great!

While I think it's a pretty easy building to take photos of, it's actually a bit of a challenge to get good shots of it. I had to use my 300mm zoom lens to get this one, from the other side of the Harbour

Eeek. That sounds expensive.
But then again, I paid US$30 something for a circular polariser in Chicago a few weeks ago, so that's close to the same price I guess.
