I highly recommend Ulead Video Studio 11.. You can add a lot of effects, objects, and even create a dvd menu when you're done with the video.. It's easy to use for beginners too!. (Try to visit their site for a demo)

*Me thinks it's a part of Corel Company too, just not sure*
