Descriptions:
I try and read the descriptions and comment accordingly. I have to admit I am a victim of random faving w/o comment if I do not have the time (cause I'm at work). I will however give comments that are productive, although I know I'm not good enough to dish out a critique of your work. Only when I'm published and to the level of you will I be able to honestly critique. In the meantime I'll just learn from you and watch your art asking questions instead.


Digital vs Traditional

I agree with you totally. I grew up drawing traditionally, and just within the past year have I even scratched the surface of drawing and coloring digitally. I'm still a long way away from achieving a standard I am happy with. I do however believe that traditional art should be encouraged because that's where it starts. From crayon drawings to graphite, to oil paintings... traditional art should NOT be taken for granted. The advantage digital art has is that one can get different effects and mass produce images in a way that was unthinkable back in the day, but I firmly believe in both working in a symbiotic relationship.


Colour

I too tend towards the cooler palette. I am still learning though to expand more and more...

Details

I love your thoughts on this. Detailed but simple. Don't put them in for the sake of it. Keep it simple.

Anatomy:

Again I firmly agree with your stand on this. Life drawing and going to the zoo is great too. (which I'm meaning to do lol)

Style

You really nailed this one, and I found it really encouraging.

Anthro

I'm proud to be a furry fan, perhaps moreso after getting back into the Sonic series by Archie (no not the story, just the art). But I was always an anthro fan from Eastman and Lairds TMNT to Maus I think using anthro characters to tell a story is a wonderful method and one can get some heavy issues across to a wider audience through this.

Communities

Yeah I can relate. I wish I could dedicate more time to the communities I'm in tho, but the reality is, is that I can't.

Art

This was definately for the win! I love art because I just do. Sometimes I get tired, but it's purely becuase I am tired, mentally, and physically tired. Still I love painting, drawing, whatever just doing it calms my nerves, gets my imagination going, and gives me a sense of being that nothing else has ever given me. It's purely done for myself first and foremost. Art is personal.

Yes I'll draw and paint for other people, but I don't feel like I put as much of myself into it.
