They're...different. And the English voices are comparitively flat

Defiantly! FUNi really did a great job on that one. And did you hear? They're re-dubbing/tweaking it for a bluray release--as well as redubbing the movies (THANK GOODNESS!)and dubbing Eizou Hakusho!!!! 8D (Justin Cook said so on a video blog)
wow! that's great! I couldn't bear to watch the movies >.> its not like the dubbing was bad...but i was used to hearing the voices on the show lol. Eizou Hakusho, whats that?
Don't get me wrong, I love Kuwabara, but the one movie made him sound 'too smart' for his character XD
Eizou Hakusho is a bunch of extra videos that came out in Japan. There's a set of four, with the image songs and such each one focusing on a different main character and ending with a part of a "dream" or mu mu hakusho where Yusuke is in some bizarre dream (pt 1 running and then finding himself in an elevator where Genkai is a bellhop, then he's married to Botan and Kurama and Hiei are business partners, then Kuwabara is an army captain with Kurama and Hiei following him, and finally Hiei is trying to sell a subscription to Keiko and Shizuru) and also an op/closing encyclopedia with all the opening and closing songs from the series tied together with clips that happen after the series. There are also 2 dark tournament tapes. I think they sum up the dark tournament with the fights to image songs, but they also have a few bonus clips from the DT. You can find the new clips on youtube, and I've even made a fandub of them before ^^
