Inking Blue lines is never advantageous in ANY situation. You lose so much of the important information when you transfer an image to blue line...or any copy for that matter. Important construction lines, delicate shapes that blur together ect. If all I need do is switch tools to solve the problem then I don't see why printing and Inking a copy would be necessary.
I noticed this too when you print the blue lines you loose a lot of stuff that would help in the inking process, especially for hyper detailed artist like mark.
