*shrug* Alright, I'll do my best then. XP

But I'm not much of a tracer. I'd probably just take multiple screenshots of them walking and do it from sight.

Well, this is generally how I make those [link]

Ah~! Neat! ^^

I just made a 7 frame walking Pony base that I can use for myself with this pony project I'm working on. Not sure if I should upload it to DA yet, haha. XD

I ended up going to Youtube, finding a clip of a pony walking (I used the scene with Twilight Sparkle in the opening theme, actually. XD), and then screenshotting the first frame, UNPAUSE-PAUSE, screenshot, UNPAUSE-PAUSE, screenshot, etc etc... Until I have a good amount of frames. |3

Then I just looked at each one and drew it in Gimp as a pixel. It took me around 5 tries, more or less, to "unpause-pause" with the right quickness that many times in a row until the animation looped itself. XD

A better way is to use a proper video and use the screencapture function from the vlc player (just slow the video down to 3% and keep shift and s pressed). The way you do it with pausing and unpausing you can easily skip a lot of frames.
Then you can use a batching tool to resize all the pics but keep the originals for reference.
You can use GIMP's fill and adjust the threshhold to fill in the coloured areas (draw the outlines first) so that there will be only one colour inside, otherwise your palette will be messed up.
Also, 7 frames for a walking cycle doesn't seem right to me. Since it should be symmetrical it should be an even number of frames, otherwise one leg-side will move quicker than the other.
Why wouldn't you post it on dA?

Well it's not the smoothest animation, but it doesn't look bad either.

Thanks for the tips, btw! I should do that. |D I just use whatever my brain can come up with for things, but we only have around 1GB left on this computer. (We used to have over 200 or something). e____e" We have a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT of junk on this computer. That's why I don't really download anything, but I guess I could download the opening or something and play it with the VLC thing.

As for the frames, once again, ah... It looks fine, it's passable. It took me a LONG time to finally work that out though, so I'm gonna use it, and maybe find one more frame because there IS this one strange looking part. I think it's when it goes from frame 7 around to frame 1 again, it skips slightly.

But overall, it can... Pass. It's more like a happy trotting than a calm walk, so I guess it'll... Passsssss... XD But yeah, I'll be uploading the animations all to DA at some point, I believe.

I'm going to be using them for a project though, like I said, so I wanna make sure I have at least the main group of ponies before letting it out. This is going to be quite the special project...

You could try CCleaner [link]
It could free a lot of space

Eh, well I don't think I can considering it says "Windows PC" and I have a Mac. o__o" Thanks for the suggestion anyway, though. XP

I think all we need to do is go through the computer and take a day to delete a BUNCH of stuff. Then we'd be back on track, I believe.

It exists for Mac as well. It can clear some GBs of space that would otherwise be wasted
