I figured Rainbow would be the type to kiss the mare she was with in public just to get a reaction from others. XD Following that, I thought she'd be a bit more forward, and more relaxed in the situation of it. Combining that with AJ most probably wanting to keep things quiet despite her feelings, it built a nice mix of fun and tension between them, which is how I wrote most of the interaction in this fic.
