Anyhoo, the picture looks good. I don't know if replicating someone verbatim is a good yardstick for awesomeness, since you pulled this off pretty good.
I think part of the issue with the face is the nose: it's shifted a little too far to the right - in particular, the white spot at the "point", or whatever you want to call that part at the bottom between the nostrils, could be reshaped a little so that there's more of it to the left. Also, the left nostril (her right one, that is) looks a bit too large compared to the other one; I think part of that is the shading effect, but using a softer grey instead of the black to shade it in would fit better with the rest of the drawing.
As for who it is... Ehh, I fail... If it's a celebrity, well, I rarely watch television... ;>_>

lol. nope. I'M prettier XD Totally agree with you, being able to copy something isn't the talent of a great artist, though I used to think it was. Looking back at my old art, I can see that I was able to copy animals and Disney characters with pretty high precision, but when it came to drawing from my own imagination, I fell pretty short. That's still often the case, which really rams the point home to me that I haven't improved as much as I would like.
Still, I'm hoping that by copying from real life, I'm forcing myself to examine details that I would otherwise miss. Then maybe I'll be able to transfer what I've learned to my comic and other artwork.

Usually I hate noses (which is why cartoons are so nice because they rarely have "actual" noses) ... but I'm proud with how this one turned out. Had to tweak it quite a bit.

Yeah...I noticed that about the nose positioning early on, but when I tried to rectify it, I had a bit of trouble because I wanted to maintain that straight curve of her nose - which is really what makes or breaks the perspective of the head (straight on and slightly chin up). I had some trouble with the placement of everything on her face ... her head's a bit too wide for the relative size of her features, I think.
As for the shading, the original pic was interesting in that the right side of her face was nearly completely in shadow. So I wanted to see how well I could replicate that without it seeming too bizarre.
Gotta keep fiddling.

Isn't she blonde? No wait. ... I'm thinking Diane Keaton. *imdb's Diane Lane* Never seen her before But she's also blonde. I'm surprised no one has guessed Elisha Cuthbert yet (even though she's blonde too, cuz I totally thought it looked like her ... even though it isn't

Besides all of this, she's a truly talented artist which is why she's an obvious choice for deviousness this month. Read More
