The neverending song combined with the horror of this... thing reminds me of the pipers of Azathoth, eternally playing their flutes and drums while they circle the blind idiot god at the center of the universe. *shudders*.
It also doesn't help that if you look at the sprite, it almost looks like a red, lovecraftian horror peeking out of a black void, plus it breaks reality.
