I like very much the last line -- it is a pity that it doesn't meld with the sonority of the previous four ones. Though, perhaps, it serves as contrast.

Anyway, good writing. I tend to find your writings rather moving. And frustrating, too, in a sense. Frustrating because there are so much things to fix, and so little time, and one feels at times so powerless to change them...
