Since I'll be having nearly a whole chapter about this episode in my story, I'm always so fascinated with how other people see it. your varient is one of the best ones (of both written and drawn)

Wow! Thank you. :glomp: It's been lurking in my mind for a very long time. I'm toying with doing a follow up having a dying Bishop trying to fend off Duncan's unwanted help. I haven't figured out that one yet though and I've promised my partner a barbarian babe in chain mail bikini next...

 What's it with guys and chainmail bikini? Do they even realize that having metal rings against your private parts is damn cold and uncomfortable and scratchy? :D

The scene with Duncan was always interesting for me, too

It's his fee for being tormented with all these guys I paint. She'll have big boobs and impractical shoes too. ;-)

The scene with Duncan has so much potential but it will be hard to convey since Bishop is almost dead at that point and having a picture of an elf hovering over an injured person wont tell the story. I'm currently bending it into shape in my head as it were.

Boobs!!! :happybounce: :D
I'm currently sketching Del in a 'some pretty medieval-fantasy dress for a change' (as was requested) for the same reason. With a fan, no less  She appeares very much despleased so far :D

As for Duncan - I was always so damn curious as to what exactly happened there. Especially after Duncan realized whom the Hells he saved :fear:

I think he knew all along, the sly dog. I also don't believe the story about a debt, Bishop wouldn't care less about debts, he'd just bugger off. I think Duncan knew, decided to be charitable, later realised he had a talented smuggler who could bring him cheap Luskan whiskey (or something) across the border and decided to try his hand at a little blackmail. Bishop has a comfy room when in town and a nice grudge to keep him warm at night (we all need something to live for). They need each other!

 Yeah, I pretty much agree on blackmailing. Although I had a thought that Duncan just saved a guy, then, while attending to his wounds, saw that the guy in question was wearing Luskan armor or something... but by that time it was too late. After all, it's damn hard to kill off the very person you just saved from death (some people do get soft towards those who are helpless and depend on them... or, more precisely, to their own 'charity', makes them feel good as 'helpers') - so the whole blackmailing stuff could be used not only for his own benefit, but also to keep a rather dangerous individual in check ('Yeah, I saved you, now you'll be a good doggie and won't burn any other villages, right?')
