Nice photo. I agree with the previous person about the black background. It really brings out the natural beauty of the flower. It does look like a jellyfish..

Hi Andrea!!!! I don't usually go for flowers (even though I love them in my own house) however, this portrait is stunning...and I really mean stunning.
One of the awesome things about it is the background. How dark it is compared to the flower itself. The contrast is magnificent and I know it is God's design, but the color of the flower going from white to purple is beautiful. You did a superb job of capturing its beauty.

Thank you so much.
The background is actually a piece of brown fabric.
I took this shot in the bathroom with a clamp on lamp & lots of fiddling with camera settings.
Just trying new things.

gorgous! I love the bright beautiful colours, the composition of the shot and I agree with your daughter - they do look a bit like jellyfish! well done on this shot. I can't think of anything I would change or have done differently if it was me that had taken the shot

As soon as I saw this on the devwatch, I knew it would be heading straight to my faves. Awesome shot. I love the colors, and the black background brings them out so well, and gives the whole shot a bit of mystery. If this is how you experiment, then keep doing it! I love it!
