I have always some good difficulties with the chin. I tend to narrow the lower part of the face too much and Snape in my portraits ends with a pointed/weak chin. That's why I tried to make it larger for once but something visually doesn't work. I don't know what is wrong but I can feel that something is not in place. Maybe the eyes are again too high and/or too small. I would try to draw a different kind of forehead/nose, you know, where you could say that the forehead and nose go ahead, the forehead would be smaller then but somehow I always come back to the same kind of faces, where I can feel that the nose is making it wrong around it and where the chin is a weak point and the lips are always the most difficult to place. I looked at photos of men to see where is everything but again, you would not find the kind of faces that would be Snape's and it didn't help much : the chins are never the ones I want.

I can make the chin firmer and the neck is definitely unfinished. I'll see...Thanks for the advice!

I agree with ~perverse-idyll You caught his essence...

The proportions are perfect... I`d work on the neck a bit and maybe on the right side of his cheek...

Be happy Bea, enjoy it and just relax!!! This is amazing!
