Canon and fanon doesn't decide what people like or not. I don't like Harry's and Ginny's relationship, it's built upon Ginny being obsessed about the boy who lived, and Harry just noticing her when she makes out with other guys.
Same with Ron/Hermione. They don't show respect to each other, and would never last as a couple in reality. Hermione need someone who actually appreciate her intelligence and can talk calmly to her when he doesn't agree, and Ron needs someone a bit more relaxed that doesn't take it so hard that his manners gives a bit to wish for.

THANK YOU! The books have great characters and a fantastic world, but the romances are terrible and contrived
Because you as a fan clearly know what's best, not the person who created the IP.
I don't say I know the best, I just say I don't like the canon pairings in Harry Potter. They feel rushed and not something that would become a healthy and long relationship. JK Rowling is just a human, she's not God. I'm allowed to disagree with her about relationships.
