Well maybe it's just me but, Spidey's mask has changed subtly over the years.

It's the way the eyes are drawn of course, but...it's just something I noticed.

gotcha! Spidey's maks is just like any other hero... every artist tweeks it a bit to taste... did you ever see Todd McFarlane's version of SpiderMan? tha twas a a favorite of mine in the 90's, but then there's the classic Romita version, Buscema's, Ditko's, Joe Mad's... every artist injects a bit of their taste when they draw their version of classic Superheroes... in my case, I like a very lean SpiderMan (kinda like Bruce Lee), and I like the eyes to be more angular and actually blink and move... hehe, it makes no sense, but I always loved the artist that did that.
