For some reason it only just hit me that hey, humans live longer in the future. I knew that Nephos and Jendolyn have been around for a while, and of course Tal and Anthemys haven't aged much at all in twenty years, but it all didn't really sink into until now. When we meet a guy who could easily be his grandson's older brother. (Not twin, Perious' eyes and mouth are drawn slightly differently. I'd put him at maybe five to eight years older than Tal.)

No wonder Tal isn't especially worried about the succession back on the homeworld.
