If the arts good, i'm there. Your stuff is good, and not just the pornographic side of it, thus I watch and enjoy what you submit.
I'm a subpar pencil-artist, compared to many people on here, but it is not going to stop me from trying to take it somewhere and improve. In fact, i'm a better writer-artist then pencil-artist.
You make an excellent point about marketing, though. I think my best example would be 'Adventure time'. The art level makes me shudder, and the comedy and content make me wince at times. But the big thing is it was 'sold' properly and has a following. You can have the ability to draw on my level or even below, and if you can market it, wham, it'll go places.
Another key point I like in your post is basically that you need to enjoy what you do, not simply do it. Yes, sometimes simply doing it is necessary to meet an end but in the long run, but you'll push yourself to go farther if you enjoy what you're doing; either what you're creating or the reaction results you receive.
