I'm pretty sure he's only been comfirmed to be a better fighter. Contrary to how it looks, alchemy is not fighting.
Meh. Here on Earth they lose their alchemy anyways, and the film was all I saw. By the end of that film they're just a pair of German teenagers in 1930's Europe. Nothing special anymore.
