Glad you liked it, not used to making the shorter ones but I guess quality over quantity for them 
I need to remember that. my fic chapters are starting to get too long. DA made me split up chapter 15
What I think for length is however long the detail and story and characters and emotions become is correct. For example my current long story keeps getting more parts than originally intended as the characters relationships and how they end up acting and going to places which all fits in with the story ends up adding things originally not thought of as they just get added by the story itself as it develops. Such length is good as the story itself keeps it running and if the story goes on there is no real need to cut it short as that could just end up making it worse instead.
Stories only get to long if they are artificially lengthened, if the story itself trails of but then something else new gets added which doesnt flow, such things only end up ruining the story trying to make it longer, a good example of such is most video game / movie sequels when they clearly lack the thought ad ideas of the ones before. Of course there are those that do shine and are good sequels and those fit in the first category of those that should be allowed to be lengthened, but those that are just a try to make it last longer aren't good.
With my stories and my friend's stories I trust yours are fitting into the better category also
Being stories that are lengthened by the natural progression of the story itself, such long stories may be more annoying to finish but are always good.
