It is great to hear that you are almost near completion of your comic!
You should go ahead and animate your characters. No matter the outcome you will have done something that you wanted and it will help in making further animations of them easier.
Also... You said something about having no voice actors? I am certain that there are a number of people here that would love to lend their voice to your creations. You could have some kind of audition! Get people to record themselves reading some script with some acting ques.
Heck I wouldn't mind trying out for an opportunity to voice a character!
